CD Art - Final Product

Here's the final artwork for our CD. We have made a few changes from our first draft such as changing the title on the front cover to a 'soft gold' colour to make it stand out more than the black colour we had it before and we faded the text so it blended in more with the smoke at the bottom of the image and with the picture of me. For the insert booklet, we have changed what contents are within it, we have removed the lyrics and replaced them with credits for the album "PURE HEROINE" and also a "special thanks to" page on the back of the booklet. For the insert we have also changed some of the photos to what we believed looked better. For the back cover, we have simply changed the colour of the artists name "DAKOTA" as it previously wasn't very clear and visible as we'd liked. Throughout our booklet we have kept the consistency of the dark black and white theme which links into our social media sites, website and music video.

Updating Social Media: Twitter - Final Products

I have updated our Twitter for our artist with links to our music video "Tennis Court" and our website. Social media is very important for the promotion of products, that's why we decided to post these on here.

Music Video Audience Questionnaire

We have created an online questionnaire for our music video in order to gather more audience feedback. Creating a questionnaire online allows us to access a wide variety of audiences.

Audience Feedback: Final Draft

We have gathered a group of 15 people to review our music video and to give the video a rating, comment on positive aspects and areas for improvement.

I have gathered all 15 feedback forms and collated them as many comments are similar therefore I have created an average rating, general positive comments and areas for improvement.

Average rating out of 5:

 (4.3)

Positive comments:

+ Lip syncing - in time and convinsing
+ Use of cutting - in time with music/good pacing
+ Use of superimposition and other editing techniques e.g. reverse, sped up, etc.
+ Good use of lighting
+ Good mise-en-scene (make up, costume, black background) all appropriate to genre
+ Good use of transitions

Areas for improvement:

- More variety of shots
- Different locations

We believe that from this feedback of our final draft that we are happy to submit this as our final production, the rating and positive comments reflected our music video in a very positive light and we are extremely happy with the feedback given. As for the areas of improvement, we believe that we did a range of shots that were appropriate because we didn't want to flood the video and make it too 'messy' with so many different shots all over the place, we believe that we used a variety appropriately, for example, the use of extreme close up, close up, mid shot, long shot - all used within the fast cuts of myself, as well as this we used tracking shots, pan up, wide shots, etc. For the more locations comment for improvement, this could have been incorporated, however for practicality we decided that 3 locations (not including the timelapse), was sufficient and suited the song well - again making the video less 'messy.'
