After a lot of thought and searching through YouTube, Spofity and Google for the best song to choose for our final music video we have finally decided. "Take a Walk" by Passion Pit is our final choice. Compared to our other choices, such as "We're not the same" by Wolf Alice and "Do you think of me?" by Misha B, we thought that this song would be the best to do as we had more ideas for this song.
The song is pop/electropop, it's got a happy beat to the song which is different to the other songs which had a bit more of a slower pace to them. We wasn't too keen on doing a song which is extremely popular because of the reputation and personas that are already attached to the song, for example people such as Beyonce and Rihanna, I felt that people would expect the same format that these artists would do because of the conventions people are used to so we would find it hard to sway away from these stereotypes. Also, we thought a more happier upbeat song would be better to do as getting people to act in happier videos seems to be easier than in a sad video, also happier songs are much more fun to film!
