In our music video we have decided to use a green screen, where we will put different locations behind the people in the music video. We have never used a green screen before therefore I have done some research on how to use a green screen and how to get the best effect without it looking too unrealistic. We thought that using the green screen was good for our music video as it allows us to look as if we are in many different locations without having to travel and it can be more extravagant locations such as New York! The idea behind this was to represent different people around the world on their journeys.
Here's a video I watched:
It seems that lighting is extremely important to avoid shadows and create a sharp contrast between you and the green screen, this is something we will have to practice to ensure we achieve the best results. Although, we don't have the equipment like the man in the video we will have to compromise to ensure we get similar results. When we have the footage which we want to place behind the people, in Adobe Premiere Pro we need to select the "Color Key" filter, which takes the green colour and makes it transparent for the footage to appear behind the person.
